"Shucked Up" by Leelon Edwards entails Drew investigating the poisoning of his friend Mack amidst a controversial oyster processing mandate in Florida that impacts local livelihoods and seeks to reduce disease. It also portrays a secondary plot involving Alex, a local living on a boat whose boat gets attacked. Congratulations on being BOTD.

Great review. From OBC's review and the sample the book seems exciting. The way the storytelling goes makes you think to solve the mystery. With the plot and the details the book seems to be good read. Congrats on BOTD

'Raw oysters carry disease, and this mandate is expected to save lives. However, the seafood industry relies on oysters to turn a profit and maintain their livelihood. When Mack is poisoned, it's up to Drew to find out who is targeting his friend.'
Industries often have this tendency of putting profit over people's lives.

This review gives a good synopsis of what the content of this book is. The fact seafood industry would go the length to poison Mark just to keep their business afloat and their livelihood intact adds a whole lot of flare to the plot. Beautiful!

This book has quite an interesting plot, and so much scheming makes it stand out more. I would have liked to know who shot Ale's boat, though. I recommend this, and congratulations on being the book of the day.

I love mysteries as a norm, but this book, unfortunately, is not my cup of tea, because it is not in my rules to read a series from the end. Although I must admit the part sounds interesting, and maybe I should investigate previous books and read them all!

I don't know much about fishing, shucking oysters, or life in Florida, but the snippet I read had me intrigued! Visiting small towns where there are lots of watchful eyes - and relatives! - creates a unique environment in which to set this murder mystery. I think this would be a fast-paced, fun and easy read.

Thank you for your great review on "Shucked Up" by Leelon Edwards. This is the third installment in the Mack and Drew series. However, it can be read as a stand-alone. Drew and Mack have been asked to see how the locals of Florida will react to a new mandate on the processing of oysters but the Floridians want to be left alone. Mack is poisoned and Drew sets about trying to find out who murdered him. There is also another twist in this mystery for Alex whose boat gets shot for being parked in the wrong place. This book sounds intriguing to me which is why I put it on my shelf to read after finding it temporarily free on Amazon. Congratulations to the author for BOTD.

I love mysteries. The premises are intriguing. The weaving clues throughout the story seemsnicely written. And it can be read as a stand-alone. I don't judge a book by its cover. But it got me nauseus. So this one isn't for me. Thank you for a nice review.
