Pierre R. Schwob might have written one of the most impressive sci-fi books, and it sounds more interesting than I can imagine. The aspects of Gaaba turning Galileo, Pic from PARI, Olrik, and the concern of climate change all merge together to create what seems to be a brilliant book. I have read the sample, and I plan to purchase the book as well! Huge congrats on being Book of the Day!

The review provided valuable insights. The book appears captivating, weaving together Galileo's (Gaaba) story, the mystery of the lost city of Atlantis, and the battle against climate change. I’m excited to dive in and discover what insights the author has in store.

I can understand why Galileo lacked empathy. Most people with high academic aptitude lack empathy. To them, everything is about facts and figures. I even wonder how he managed to get into a romantic relationship.

“AWE” by Pierre R. Schwob’ is a sci-fi story about a boy named Gaaba that was abandoned by his parents after birth and a woman named Uki agreed to raise the boy. Gaaba was exceptionally gifted but definitely a psychopath. He actually met Putin as a teen studying at the same university. Gaaba was nursed by Uki until his mid-teens when he killed her by impaling her with a harpoon he had found in the ocean. Gaaba who changed his name to Galileo had few friends and the Jewish girl named Katrina, that he considered his only friend, was pulled out of his school after an incident and the family moved away. When he met Putin, he realized that Putin could not be intimidated, and they formed a loose friendship with neither one trusting the other. The story has plenty of action and is an on the edge of one’s seat thriller. It involves climate change and the possibility of humanity relocating to other planets due to the oncoming doom to Earth accelerated by humans ignoring what was causing climate change. I was hooked by the sample, and I want to read the entire book.

This is an interesting book that covers the life of an orphan and how he was adopted by a new family. The story moves on to science fiction, climate, and relationship bonds. While all of these are interesting and worth looking forward to, I am not convinced this is a book I’m ready to read anytime soon. There seems to be a lot going on, and I’m not sure what the major storyline is to follow. The review captures the essence of the book, but I might put this one on hold for a while. Thank you for the review and congratulations to the author for being selected BOTD.

It sounds like *AWE: A Technothriller* by Pierre R. Schwob is a complex and thought-provoking read! The reviewer’s analysis highlighted Galileo’s character development, showing how his lack of empathy contrasts with his intellectual gifts. The book’s exploration of the climate crisis, through ambitious projects like the space elevator and the UAV, seems to mirror real-world challenges, especially with the inclusion of misinformation. The reviewer’s mention of Pic's effort to combat fake news through AI really adds a timely and relevant layer to the story. I also appreciate how the review touches on the book’s blend of suspense, action, and deeper insights about humanity’s future. It seems like the book doesn’t just offer thrilling moments, like the tense scene with Olrik and Roxanne, but also provides thoughtful reflections on issues like climate change and technological advancements.

I love reading science fiction, and with the topic of climate change, I am following it closely as it's at risk and it needs our awareness and attention. The book is also gripping, and I'm curious to know what is that unthinkable think Gaaba does to the person who raised him. Congratulations on BOTD!

This science fiction thriller explores the theme of climate change and presents a world in which humans could leave Earth for another planet. The characters are well-developed with deep personal struggles. Galileo was abandoned as an infant, and his growth journey is pivotal to the story.

Great character dynamics made this book enjoyable. Quirky personalities shone, despite a somewhat loose plot. Congrats on BOTD!

Hi @ Elizabeth-Tush4Christ, I just read your comments on the official review of "AWE" and I found the book hard to follow as well. Too much going on summed it up very well. I would like to read it but not as my next book. I appreciate your perspective. @Mrlefty0706
