It is undeniably that, over the centuries, the consideration of faith has drastically changed. Scientific discoveries have posed questions and challenges, leading to a renewed relationship with the Christian dogma.
In this atmosphere of uncertainty and confusion it is fundamental to address the varied circumstances. It is needed back to the origins and unearth the simple and basic principles a Christian should believe in and follow.

Books based on religious philosophies is not my cup of tea so I would skip this one. Although I enjoyed reading the review that tells the summary of the book.

"CHRISTIAN ORTHODOXY: A Closer Look" by Joseph Grogan is informative. I have sometimes wondered if our understanding of Christianity has been a diversion from the teachings of Jesus Christ. I perceive that the conflicting stories might be the result of the difference in individual perceptions. Congrats on BOTD. Insightful review.

Great lengthy review! I have for a long time questioned the Bible as, to me, it has so many discrepancies and questionable passages that I can't understand how people can blindly follow its teachings. I am a Catholic who doesn't practice anymore because of this, and the rules of the church don't seem to apply to the priests. They can molest altar boys but not be relieved of their priesthood. They just transfer them to another church, endangering more little boys.

Really great review, very informative and detailed. I'm very much interested in critical, in depth analysis of Christianity and I specially like how the author still want to share Jesus ' teachings. I got to give this book a read.

The book appears to encourage an analytical and critical examination of Christianity. Its approach of challenging conventional perceptions by investigating historical, cultural, sociological, and institutional settings broadens and deepens one's understanding of faith and religion.

That's a pretty informative review and also from my own experience I can say that truly Christian religion nowadays is more shaped like the culture we find ourselves in this twenty first century and I'd like to read, dive deeper and learn more from the author's point of view.
