I'm not Christian, but I have read many books dealing with this theme. Personally, there's always room for one more, particularly since the root of Christian teaching has been sorely neglected by many moderns who consider themselves Christian, to the dismay of many of us. I think I'll check this one out. Thanks to the author for jotting his thoughts down and sharing them with the rest of us.

Christian ideas and the evolution of fundamental beliefs are critically examined in this book. It pushes readers to reevaluate conventional wisdom and investigate how interpretations have changed over time. Congrats on BOTD.

I am not a part of this religion, nor do I wish to learn more about it so I will not be reading this book.

This book offers a bold and intellectually stimulating challenge to traditional Christian teachings by questioning the historical and cultural influences that may have shaped modern interpretations of Jesus' message. Nice review.

It's important to differentiate between religion and tradition. "CHRISTIAN ORTHODOXY: A Closer Look" by Joseph Grogan provides a critical examination of the aspects that separate the two within the Christian religion, which makes for a thought-provoking read.

I am not a religious person and I don't like to read non-fiction. Therefore, it is doubtful that I will find enjoyment in this book. I have no interest in the subject or speculations surrounding it, but it will certainly attract readers who feel the opposite. Sorry and congratulations with BOTD!

'From the beginning of the book, the author presents a critical examination of the New Testament accounts, questioning their authenticity and consistency.'
I don't think that I'll enjoy a book that will make me doubt the Bible.

So many Christians do not think critically about the things they read from the bible and that is why almost everyone can be a preacher or a pastor. Books like this are rare gems. Congratulations on BOTD.

I have enjoyed reading this review on the BOTD,as a Christian I must admit that it was a little uncomfortable delving in some of these theories and questions that we tend to believe without questioning. The religious philosophies verses the teachings of Jesus and his advice that we should live our lives based on the teachings of Jesus is very apt , because Christianity has become so watered down over the time that it's quite easy to lose yourself. I would recommend this book to all Christians and those who want to understand the Christian theology at a deeper level. Very well done review.

Loved this review. It was nicely done. I think most Christians go based off of the culture and not what is really being said in the book. I come from a predominantly Christian family and it took me actually researching and reading it for myself to see the contradictions within the Bible’s pages. Though I’m not Christian any more I still find reading the bible and discussing the faith quite interesting. This is a book I would read to see how the author came to their conclusions.

I find it interesting to read the author's analysis about the scriptures; additionally, I believe this would be quite an enlightening experience.

I do not think this is a book that I would enjoy reading. I don’t like to read this genre; I like to read romance and fantasy. I also am not a religious person so I would pass on reading this book. It seems like a book that is for those who are religious and want to dive deeper into the meanings of scripture.
