This sounds interesting, but not something I would read unfortunately. I do however have quite a few friends that would gain so much from reading this, and I'm definitely telling them all about it. Thanks for an insightful review. Congrats on BOTD.

"Ecstasy as Medicine" by Jonathan Robinson suggests the benefits of using MDMA as a therapeutic medicine to help with mental illnesses and finding inner peace, joy, love, and a desire to connect with others. Due to the connotations attached to this drug, one would have to read the book in order to have a thorough understanding of what it is and how it works.

A lot of people are dealing with PTSD, anxiety, panic attacks, depression, and other psychological issues. "Ectasy as Medicine" is a great book they should look at. Those who don't have knowledge in psychedelics would get a great guide from this book. Congratulations on BOTD!

Congrats! I think that certain drugs can be used in a positive way and that it just very easy to get addicted to them and abuse. Im not too much interested on this topic since I dont do drugs.

It's a good thing the negatives of psychedelics were also listed.Although not judgemental of them, they still sound like a non-viable way of confronting undesirable reality. Almost like the user is escaping his reality, not confronting them.
I am interested things the author has to say about them though, so I will see what the book can find me.
Congrats to the author on BOTD nomination. My heart goes out to him and all children battling with family-induced trauma.

I believe many drugs, including Ecstasy, can offer health benefits when used responsibly. For example, medications like methylphenidate help manage ADHD. With the right dosage and proper medical supervision, MDMA can also be beneficial. (Just my opinion!)

Nowadays, mental health is a common issues in our community so it's good to read books like this. It spreads awareness and can educate those who know less about mental health. I would love to read books on how to handle and how to reduce mental health issues.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on Jonathan’s book. It’s great to hear that you found it accessible and informative, especially as someone new to the topic of psychedelics. The way the book addresses the stigma surrounding MDMA while providing a balanced view of its therapeutic potential is commendable. The disclaimer at the beginning serves as a thoughtful approach to engage readers who may have preconceived notions. It’s also encouraging that you appreciated the structured format, which aids comprehension. The minor editing error you mentioned is understandable in any publication, but it’s good to know that it didn’t detract from your overall experience. Your insights highlight the book’s effectiveness in fostering understanding and communication, particularly in relationships. Thank you for your review!

The BOTD is on a very interesting subject, the main topic is on the use of MDMA in helping with issues like PTSD , Anxiety and relationship struggles, the fact that any substance can be used for good if regulated and used appropriately stands out . I must say this is a great review and I would highly recommend this book for all interested in health books and health practitioners.
