The author Linda Morrison's courage in putting her heart out in the form of a book about her deceased son Mike is at once awe inspiring and heart breaking. A moment,no parent should have to experience but life is like that. I hipe she finds peace and solace through her writing. Thanks for a beautiful review!

Addiction is such a terrible disease. I think it's brave of Linda to write this book; it can help her heal and also help others going through similar situations. Unfortunately, I don't read nonfiction, so I'll skip this book.

Your review eloquently underscores the memoir's universal relevance. Addiction is, as you said, a family disease that affects not just the individual but everyone who loves them. Morrison’s unfiltered and heartfelt narrative seems to provide a rare and compassionate insight into that experience—one that invites readers to share in both the love and the loss

Your review beautifully captures the heartbreak and hope in Linda Morrison's memoir. It sounds like a book that goes beyond just sharing a story; it feels like it brings you into the experience of the family's struggle. I'm touched by how you described the love and dedication that never wavered, even in the face of such pain

I honestly cannot wait to read this, it sounds like a very profound story of one who is trying very hard to get their life straight. A story that though they tried very hard, it didn't work out for them, and as heartbreaking as that is, it is also okay that it doesn't always work out. Well except when it ends in a death. Regardless, let me get back on track here, Dear Heroin sounds like a very good story to read, one that I myself can relate to in one way or another. I have dealt with friends who went to rehab, or who had problems with addiction before and tried very hard to help them and had to sit there and watch them be unsuccessful, because... as that saying goes, they have to want to help themselves, before you can help them.

This story sounds like he indeed wanted to help himself, but had a rough time.

This is quite a heartfelt and touching read by Linda Morrison. I know well the effects of addiction, especially to drugs like heroin, and it's a sad scenario for anyone in a family to witness. The climax of the story involving her son, Mike, isn't a positive outcome, making this book even more impactful. This is a reflective work that I look forward to getting through. Huge congratulations on being named Book of the Day!

The heartbreak of a mother’s loss is difficult to explain. Mike was raised in a loving family. Linda talks about her son’s battle with heroin and about the bittersweet moments they shared together. Readers hearts break down reading this memoir. Addiction affects not just the addict but their family too.

I applaud the author for having the strength to share this very painful time of her life with us. Heroin addiction is brutal and very hard to break the cycle.
