The book sounds like an absolute treasure for people who are into fantasy stories with a deep moral backbone and layered characters. From a wrongly accused apprentice to a hero facing dark magic and political intrigue, the book really dives into themes of power, responsibility and ethical dilemmas of wielding magic. It is truly not your standard adventure read, and I cannot wait to explore it. Thank you for the great review.

Perhaps I am too advanced in age for this book but the fantasy, and intrigue woven through the plot was supposed to be compelling. I also want to give a go a whole trilogy I downloaded when the ebooks were free. Thanks for your awesome review wow sweet

The Magician's Secret by Charles Townsend depicts intoxicating tendencies of power at whatever level. The level of intoxication varies among individuals, though.
Congrats on BOTD.
Nice read.

I want my magic stone was my first reaction after reading this book. I enjoyed Jarla's fierce demeanor. Congratulations on BOTD. This was an epic fantasy ride for me.

I was just wondering what would have happened had Borlock not regained consciousness in time. Delvin could have been executed for what he didn't do. Well, I hope he fulfils Borlock's dying wish.

The review above certainly opens up the stage of the magicians domain, it's sounds like a catch for those prone to reading fantasies. I however notice nothing more is mentioned, and if that is the secret meant in the title, the fate of the hidden secret object.
Power is a dangerous object if it ends up in the wrong hands, whether human or invisible.
Great reading.

This story of magicians features political intrigue and magical warfare. It explores the theme of the consequences of magic when it falls into the wrong hands, which can be extrapolated to any form of power. Delvin is a character who conveys values and moral lessons.

"The Magician's Secret" by Charles Townsend seems well-plotted. I like Delvin's unpopular decision to wield power responsibly. Congrats on BOTD. Awesome review.

Poor Delvin! The story opens with him being accused of murder. The murder of his mentor nonetheless! “Magician’s Secret” seems like a great fantasy thriller. The review is really good and I primed to want to finish this book, even though it is not a normal genre for me. The review makes this pace of book feel you might find yourself holding your breath. Thank you for your review.

Sci-fi/Fantasy is really not my cup of tea, but just two words in description give a sure guarantee that my daughter is going to love the series. Adventure and magic are pretty much all she likes at the moment, but I hope that with series name it will have a bit of political intrigue in addition to crime mystery to hook her to more genres!
