Definitely not my cup of tea, because at my age Children's Books is a bit useless and my own kids are old enough to already learn all the lessons in helpfulness and mercy this story provides. Sorry I will have to skip this one, but congratulations with BOTD, anyway!

This looks like a lovely children's book, and I particularly enjoyed the vivid, colorful illustrations. I'm a bit old for a children's book, but something tells me those with youngsters in their lives will truly enjoy this. Congrats to the author.

We need more books like "Mike and Alex" by Peter van Wermeskerken to engage the young readers' imagination. This will do a lot for them like helping them to reason correctly, imbibe valuable character traits like helping others and to appreciate nature as a gift.

I love the team spirit between Mike and Alex, and I also felt bad for Wally the whale after being shot. The theme of friendship in this book makes the plot even more outstanding. Congratulations on the book of the day.

Initially, when I saw the book title, Mike & Alex, I thought the names will be used for human beings and not animals. This is really unique. Fantastic review!

Very interesting well written review. When a children's book offers both fun and education, connecting the story with the mind of both child and adult. Having illustrations and exploring multiple locations throughout the story giving room to the reader's imagination. All of this makes the book a good choice for BOTD. CONGRATS

The review of today's BOTD is quite educating and entertaining. It goes beyond the sacrifice that Mike and Alex to the animal community and reveals their inward nature of love. It offers great lesson children to be selfless in their dealings with others, and to allow the natural love inherent in their heart find expression. It's an incredible story. Thanks for the review.

It's interesting to see the animals' point of view when faced with human predators. Eager to see whether the ecosystem knowledge taught to kids is accurate.
