Re: What Grace Means to Me

Post by Ruth Quiterio »

These powerful lines are a big reminder of how much inner power we are able to achieve when we balance self-control and choose to put ourselves as priority over everything else to challenge any obstacle in life. To be, to have, to live, to do, and to choose are all self-love and that's all-inner work. We would live in a different world if we all do inner work and have self-control. Indeed, it is a great gift and grace.

The poem talks about good aspects of life. It gives hope and encourages one to press on without giving up. It also tells us how to co -exist with others in peace.

To me, grace means unconditional love with reasonable and logical boundaries. Grace is the unconditional, reasonable, and logical love you have for yourself and others. Grace is living to see another day. I want to frame the poem! Beautiful!

That was a fantastic poem! I try to live my life like that. What it comes down to for me is humility. I'm a strong headed female and my Dad raised me to not depend on anyone. There are times I still have to ask for help though and that is ok (as long as I've tried)

Wow nice poem! All about moderation or balance in everything! Reminds me of Henrik Ibsen's 'An Enemy of the People'

It's a beautiful piece. It spoke generally about life and balance. It reminds me of myself trying so hard to navigate through life, taking what life throws at me and making it into something beautiful.

The line,
"To forcefully defend your own as needed, but not offensively attack others,"

It really resonated with me. It made me reflect on the idea that defending ourselves often comes with the possibility of unintentionally hurting others. Sometimes, standing up for what’s right or protecting ourselves might cause discomfort to others, even if our intentions are good. I believe this isn’t necessarily wrong, as long as we are fighting for a just cause and acting with integrity. Do you think I’m on the right track? I hope you understand what I mean.
Anyway overall I love your poem quite convincing

Love it!
My greatest take away is :
"To love and forgive unconditionally, but only trust intelligently."
Loving and forgiving without conditions is what the world needs.
I also admire how you pointed out to trust but with intelligence; its something many tend to look past.

"to be kind, but not dishonest" it really hit the spot, i seemed to have reasonated with this. And then "
To choose to make where you are now your personal rock bottom before hitting actual rock bottom" it says alot in just one sentence, rock bottom is indeed a place of growth, birth of true sense of self.

I personally take Grace as something that has been given such a name but cannot truly be defined. It has come to be a part of our everyday existence due to the tremendous transformations that have taken us away from what Our Creator had initially created us for and brought us to earth for.

The ideal-isms of life. In a perfect world such a balance could be achieved! A contrast of both strength and humility. I wish it was so.
Be yourself and dream big; maybe it won’t be a dream one day :tiphat:
