Thank you for your review. I sampled the book. It is wonderful that the author shared her troubled life with her narcissistic mother and reached out to others to heal from those memories and hurt feelings. This book can help many people in many ways: to realize the truth, to heal wounds, and to protect themselves from further bad relationships. Congrats to the author for the #BOTD.

I am incredibly grateful for the family that I have, for growing up in a loving, trusting environment as I cannot imagine the struggles one has to face when growing up with a Narcissistc Parent.

It seems there is a good balance between explaining the damaging effects of narcissism and focusing on healing. Thank you for your review!

'Healing from Growing Up with a Narcissistic Parent' talks about the silent poison that has the potential to alter the fate of the child when he/she venture into the adulthood. Even the narcissistic parent could be a victim in their own upbringing. The book sounds like it holds healing by bringing the pain to the light and identify it the next time it comes as a blow. Knowledge of what we are dealing with can be a powerful tool, especially in cases of mental wars. The author's decision to address this as a whole book is commendable. Thank you for reviewing this book.

The book offers an insightful look at narcissistic parenthood and its effects on children. I appreciate the book showcases what true narcissism is unlike the prevalent
labelling in current society. It gives real encounters on narcissistic abuse.

So what did the woman do to that man? I'll be more curious about that, tho. I don't really know how bad narcissism could affect someone's life and people around them. This book might help me to understand that. It is also a valuable resource for anyone seeking advice on healing and recovery from the abuse. Thank you for your informative review.

I find it interesting to learn about narcissism, especially for those who have family members who suffer from it. This book addresses different areas of narcissism, highlighting how to heal from it. It seems appropriate for those who like non-fiction and are interested in the topic of narcissism.

Today's BOTD, "Healing from Growing Up with a Narcissistic Parent" by Kelly Todd, seems to resonate with me. As a child, I didn't feel that my family was my family.

I am currently reading the book, the main character of which, by the author's own confession, is based on a mother-in-law that was diagnosed with narcissistic syndrome. I must admit even such secondhand retelling is quite hard to stomach, and I hate to think of a child having to grow up through it.
