I think the cover is appealing and matches the illustrations that are throughout the book. I think it would draw in children.

The cover is well drawn and is able to attract children as well as adults. I didn't really fancy the title of the book, but the cover was enough to convince me that it is worth a shot.

It definitely grabs my attention, especially paired with the title. My kids prefer a more cartoony cover art (like the Juny B. Jones style), but I think adults and educators will be drawn in by the hand-drawn style.

I feel that these cartoon illustrations always work better in children's books. The children look very curious, and it helps pique the reader's curiosity too. I also got the impression that the girl is more adventurous than the boy, from the cover.

I thought the idea of seeing two young kids on the front cover was a good idea for a book about orphaned children. These particular group that is talked about come from an area that relied heavily on themselves to survive.

Jacqueline Torres 2 wrote: 01 Nov 2024, 22:20 The book cover is intriguing and I like how it portrays the two boys. It seems like they’re up to something. I’ve heard great things about the book so I can’t wait to read.
I agree! It also seems as though it matches the storyline quite well, and I very much enjoy it when the cover and the story correlate, as it makes it feel like a lot of effort was put into the creation of the book.

It is a bit misleading in my opinion about its contents, but it is kept simple and interesting for children.

The cover is very apt for the book. Two boys running in a terrain, with the terror ahead. It is appealing to the kids and gives you an idea of what you might read in the book.

The cover of two children and a later at the entrance of a cave suggests a sense of adventure and discovery. This may intrigue children and spark their curiosity wanting to know what was to be found. Overall, the cover effectively sets the tone for a children's adventure book.

For children, the book cover will appeal to them. The drawing/illustration is something that kids will find themselves drawn towards.
