an enemy of the united state launches an attack on Beverly hills shopping mall killing and injuring hundreds the same group attack bank in nyc lara and uri team up to bring the thugs to justice
Hi @Margi Zuu202, I just read your comments on the official review of "The Date Farm" and since the purpose of Forum postings is to prove one has read the sample and the official review and encourage members to read the book. “The Date Farm” by Jack Winnick is his 4th incredible geopolitical thriller in the Lara and Uri 5-book series and it kept me on the edge of my seat until the last page. This fictional terrorist attack occurs in a Beverly Hills shopping mall where more than 100 innocent shoppers are killed and hundreds more were injured by a group of terrorists that opened fire on the unsuspecting crowd. Meanwhile, the security of the Dept. of Defense and DHS were breached, and the Federal Reserve and Chase Manhattan were also attacked. I highly recommend all five of Winnick’s well-written geopolitical action thrillers. Hold onto your seat, this book will be hard to put down. @Mrlefty0706
Extremely thoughtful review! Where many of the reviews I see here are your typical "book jacket" review (though they are still appreciated and important), your review is very thought out and thought-provoking. One of the reasons I appreciate crime fiction is the appreciation given for the sacrifices not only of first responders and military personnel in my family, but of all first responders, military personnel, and other crime-fighters nation and worldwide. I agree that Winnick beautifully depicted the everyday sacrifices of these incredible individuals. Lara's struggle with being unable to explain most anything of her and Uri's true work, both Lara and Uri's humble recognition of the praise they'd never receive to keep their family and friends safe, Lara'a family's worry knowing Lara had gone through much more than she could let on yet knowing they would never know and could only support Lara and Uri where they could, all of this and more. You did an excellent job with this review, you appreciated Winnick's work from a unique and important angle.
