How often does it happen that a soldier or other defender is put into a situation where he commits cruel deeds and is then plagued by nightmares and suppressed memories? It's even worse if he also has to face a reputation as a murderous monster. Just as Enpirion starts to believe in himself again a new enemy emerges. I'm sure that leads to more bad experiences. In this fantastical story, Nephael is trying to save Piri. After Piri's physical recovery, Nephael sits with him everyday. Finally he responds, and they become friends. The story tells of Piri's mental battles because of the way that he was trained and treated before his rescue. I believe this to be a very enjoyable and colorful book. Can't wait to read the rest of it!
