Well, my first answer was going to be "my socks", but I think a more practical answer would be .....

A calendar ?

My first thought is the four horsemen, but that wouldn't make sense, so I'll go with the four brothers from Grimm's tale.

Neither the Four Horsemen or the Brother's Grimm tale or the Brothers Gibb.

I like the way you think! That is a very good guess, but it isn't what I'm looking for.

HINT: They are not actually "brothers" except for the fact that they are of the same ilk.

The Adamos brothers? llios, Okeanos, Katiagida, and Thanatos. I'm not sure I spelled them correctly. I know the last name is right though.

No, but you are going somewhat in the right direction.

HINT 1) The four are not literally brothers, but share the same type of identity (in this case = rank).

HINT 2) The four are not human, but rather figures found in Scripture.
