A book explaining the different facets of alchemy surely is interesting. I like it that the author makes the link to modern technologies, and does not forget about the ethical aspects.

The author makes sure to bring out all viewpoints on alchemy, touching on history, psychology, modern science, civilisation, and philosophy. Carl Jung's interpretation of alchemical symbols in psychology is particularly interesting to read. Individuals interested in learning more about alchemy should grab this book.

This book sounds too complex for me and mysticism is not my thing, so I will pass on this. Congratulations on BOTD.

As per sample and review, the opening section of the book provides a comprehensive overview of alchemy's history, tracing its development from Hellenistic philosophy to its prominence in Renaissance Europe and its complex interactions with Christianity. The second part of the book utilizes the ideas of Carl Jung, whose renowned work, Psychology and Alchemy, related the numerous symbols present in alchemical texts to psychological processes. For Jung, alchemy symbolized more than just the chemical transformation of lead into gold; it represented a metaphor for the process of individuation. The concluding section of the book examines the potential authenticity of alchemical theories in light of modern empirical science and groundbreaking research that questions conventional scientific beliefs.

"The Riddle of Alchemy" by Paul Kiritsis seems to be a very well written peice of work relating the ancient Alchemy to Carl Jung's individuation theory. It seems it offers an interesting blending of the two, mystical and practical techniques, bringing historical context, psychological aspects, and empirical validity. You have written the review so well, I want to read more about it. Congratulations to "The Riddle of Alchemy" by Paul Kiritsis on being chosen as BOTD!
