Thank you for sharing your review! I completely agree with your assessment of Winter Kill by E.J. Pepper. The unique perspective of telling the story through the suspects’ eyes truly sets it apart from typical detective mysteries. It’s refreshing and engaging, keeping readers emotionally invested and constantly guessing. I also appreciate your note on the well-done editing and structure—it’s always a pleasure to read a book so carefully crafted. Your recommendation makes it a must-read for crime and mystery lovers. Fantastic review!

"Winter Kill" is a gripping mystery novel that tells the crime story from the perspectives of multiple suspects, including a journalist, Oliver Moorhouse. When his informant, Lord Hamish, is murdered, Ollie becomes the prime suspect. He's entangled in a web of deceit, including a break-in at another lord's residence.

I like the sound of this book. It's a great idea to have the suspects view of what's happening. I love the cover.

I'm pretty sure that I haven't read a mystery novel told from the points of view of the suspects. That seems unique and quite interesting. Add to that your assertion that Winter Kill gives Sherlock Holmes a run for its money and you have me. Completely. I must - I will read this book.

This sounds like a great story! I am not a fan of unfinished stories, however. Perhaps the intrigue of the story will be enough to make up for loose ends.

What an interesting perspective: the suspect's view of the crime! I wonder if Ollie, in fact, did it. I am a huge fan of thrillers, so I am really itching to get into this story.

I'm interested in finding out why Ollie is considered a prime suspect, and the plot of the book seems really interesting.

The story starts out with Ollie Moorhouse, a journalist ,takes a meeting with a man called Hamish. Ollie pays Hamish for information to what is supposed to be a great story. I believe this is a great mystery and look forward to reading the entire book.

I am thrilled by the review, motivated to read the book. "More often, readers of crime stories are stuck with detectives as they try to crack a crime case. E. J. Pepper rather lets her readers through the story, insights, and backstories of the suspects themselves." The review has captured the author's masterpiece. Congratulations on BOTD!

The fact that the book's narrator changes throughout the book removes any room from boredom and makes the book more engaging.
