Re: Review of Winter Kill

I love detective type mystery novels but rarely find those that tell the tale from the perspective of the killers or suspects. I like that it seems to have more than one suspect as well. Seems like an interesting read however set in the time or place of lords etc is not always my thing.

Thank you for your great review. I'm glad you enjoyed it. You make it sound very interesting, but I also like the ends tied up. At this time, I'm not in the mood for a mystery, but you definitely did an excellent job piquing my curiosity.

This review really caught my attention, especially how the story is told from the perspective of the suspects rather than the detectives. It’s refreshing to see a crime novel take a unique angle like this. I also love the comparison to Dostoevsky’s Crime and Punishment, definitely makes it sound like a gripping read. Adding Winter Kill to my must read list!

This sounds like an interesting crime story, especially because we get to read it from the perspective of several suspects. I really look forward to reading this book!

It wasn't a simple "whodunit"; there were layers upon layers of secrets and connections that kept me guessing until the very end. I loved trying to piece together the puzzle alongside Ollie

Oliver, a journalist, is forcefully put into a murder case where he has to find answers. He also has to prove that he is innocent. I liked the outline of the story. It gives a nice detective flavour to the plot. Thanks for the review. Congrats on the BOTD!

This book stands out as a gripping mystery, offering a fresh perspective by delving into the emotions and backstories of the suspects rather than focusing solely on the detective's journey. This unique narrative style adds depth and an intriguing psychological layer to the story, making it a captivating read for crime enthusiasts. Nice review.

Though I don't know how Oliver Moorhouse's move to vindicate himself turn out, it was better than doing nothing.
