'Official Review: The Tally Man: Book Two of The Stoker Trilogy' by Tod Benjamin offers a glimpse into the plot of historical fiction. It provides a good concept of the story. This is a story of love mixed with unrequited love, all laced with the spice of history. Readers would enjoy the theme of mentorship the author chose. The author conveys that wealth, success, and sometimes hard work do not always satisfy a human being's deep-seated longing. It was great to learn that many lessons are packed together for us in the book!

I a drawn to the drama in The Tally Man" by Tod Benjamin. As expected, a forced marriage must follow when a religious family is involved in an unwanted pregnancy.

The Tally Man is a story about Charlie's ordeal and how Margaret suddenly changes. It is a must-read for anyone. Congratulations on BOTD.

The main characters sound insufferable. Congrats on BOTD, but not my first choice read.

Charlie's story highlights how even with achievement, personal struggles and unfulfilled desires can lead to unhappiness.

One thing that is very profound about the review of today's BOTD is this: "Love is not far from us, but some have chosen to shut the doors of their hearts to love, which will always come back to hunt us." This, to me, is the central them Tod Benjamin's "The Tally Man".

This story mainly suggests that love and human connection are crucial for a fulfilling life, and the consequences of denying or suppressing these needs can be profound.

This review beautifully captures the essence of The Tally Man, highlighting the intricate themes of love, mentorship, and the pursuit of fulfillment. The portrayal of Charlie’s flawed journey, the impact of mentorship, and the bittersweet exploration of relationships are compelling.

It seems this book has a very engaging and emotional storyline. Charlie Horace Stoker seems like a lovable character. I hope impregnating the girl doesn't completely ruin his life. I'm so curious to find out more!
Insofar as the word 'should' even has meaning, then we must say that the past is exactly as it should be, everything that happened should have happened, and everything that should happen will happen

Thank you for your great review. I'm glad you enjoyed the book. It sounds like it has some great lessons in it and a story about history, love, and family. Also, that hard work does a lot of good too. After reading your review I decided to add it to my list of books to read.

I'm more into sci-fi and fantasy, so I don't think this book is for me. However, "The Tally Man" by Tod Benjamin does sound intriguing, especially the aspect of unrequited love.

I really admire the theme of mentorship Benjamin highlights. Investing in people is the most fulfilling of all the investments a man makes. The most important concept of humanity that was highlighted.

“the greatest bachelor in the story knows this. I was happy when he professed his love for Millie Stoker.”

Bit of a spoiler??

It’s always nice to see close enough relationships to be mistaken for romantic ones … platonic love simply doesn’t get enough airtime in modern culture especially.

Did you mean “haunt” instead of “hunt”?
