Also, with that, you can read books outside of the Kindle as well, you are not stuck with Amazon as the book provider.
The Paperwhite and other assorted Kindle items are very expensive in my country so it does not make sense to me to invest in a specific device only for Amazon.

Pros:
- Eye-friendly display: The Paperwhite's glare-free screen makes reading a breeze, even in bright sunlight.
- Long battery life: I can go weeks without needing to recharge - perfect for travelers or bookworms!
- Lightweight and portable: This device is designed for comfort and convenience.
- Access to millions of books: The Kindle store has an vast selection of titles, including bestsellers and classics.
Cons:
- No color display: If you're used to reading graphic novels or colorful magazines, this might be a drawback.
- No waterproofing: Be careful not to drop it in the bath or pool!
So, is the Kindle Paperwhite worth it?
If you're an avid reader who wants a dedicated e-reader with a great display and long battery life, absolutely! The Paperwhite is a game-changer.
But if you're on a tight budget or prefer reading on your tablet or phone, you might want to consider alternatives.

Yeah, absolutely it is.
If you enjoy reading then it's a must. I used to be one of those people that didn't have any kind of e-reader (not because I had anything against them, I just simply had never had one and didn't really see the point in buying one for myself). I did see the appeal it had, space-wise it's a no-brainer. You can have hundreds if not thousands of books in a device not much bigger than a phone, that you can carry everywhere and has a pretty durable battery.
I didn't really plan on buying a kindle, but one afternoon not long after Christmas three years ago I was at my cousin's house and she showed me her brand new kindle. I, as an avid reader and gossip, started questioning her about everything "Is it worth it?" "How long does the battery last?" "Was is very expensive?" "Does it take long to load the book(s)?" "How much space are we talking about here?" and a long etc. She answered all of those "Yeah" "I haven't charged it weeks and use it daily, still have 40%" "Not really if you think about how much I'll be saving from not buying physical books" "It's as fast as my phone" "I have downloaded like 100 books and didn't even make a dent into the space available" She literally handed it to me with a book she knew I'd been wanting to read for a couple of months loaded and went "enjoy", well I spent the whole afternoon, and I mean like 5-6 hours non stop reading. I was in love with it (I specially enjoy the option to annotate and highlight passages). That night when I went back home I talked with my mother and said "I know this is going to sound really impulsive, but I want to buy this" she told me go ahead and have I not regretted my decision.
I swear it's my most precious and loved item, I carry it everywhere, I load every book I want in it (Calibre is the best thing I swear) and customize my own covers because I am really picky (the amount of hours I have spent doing that on Canva is insane).
So yeah, if anyone is doubting whether it will be a good purchase go ahead. If you can afford to buy it, buy it! It's so lightweight and has the perfect size, it has a ton of space and the battery literally lasts months (I swear I haven't charged it since November!). I have saved so much from reading on my kindle (the math it's pretty simple, one kindle is like 8-10 books at least where I am from so yeah, once you read like 20 books in your kindle I say you are making profit haha). I also really love that you can connect it to the kindle app (which is free and works as a pretty neat reader app if you don't want to invest in a kindle/e-reader for now) and your notes/highlights get synchronized. I love having it on my phone so I can keep reading where I left off if I don't have my kindle on hand. It also has a pretty good range of brightness and warmth on the screen and you can even program it to change according to the hours of the day!
So yeah, again, buy it. If you enjoy reading I think it will be so worth it.
