This sounds like a compelling novel! It seems to explore themes of identity, cultural adjustment, and personal growth through Samira's journey.

I was initially confused if it’s fiction or not until latter stated. I also thought the number of pages shouldn’t be indicated. Either way, I got excited with the way the other characters were described as found family is one of my favorite genres. Plus, the obvious enjoyment of the reviewer for giving it a perfect score despite seeing errors makes it more interesting to read.

'Official Review: Running Between Trees' by Gogo C. Okeke analyses the fiction plot of the story in depth. It sheds light on the characters. A psychologist, Samira, narrates her experiences in America and her recollections before immigration. She is confused about her career and love life. The book features career, relationships, autism, country similarities and differences, and family. It was nice to learn that this book is great for Nigerians and fiction lovers!

This book is promising. With interesting questions like what it is to be an immigrant and to be a professional, as well as investigating autism through a program. With very complete characters and a captivating story, good job #BOTD

I absolutely loved your review! It perfectly encapsulates my feelings about "Running Between Trees." Like you, I was completely charmed by the use of Nigerian words and the dynamic between Samira and Aunty Zubaida – that part about the words in twos had me laughing too!

This book highlights how cultures can clash as a result of different upbringing. We see this clearly as Samira, the protagonist who was raised in Nigerian culture comes to the US. This book is wholesome going into deep end by discussing love, identity and career development.

Thank you for your great review. I'm so glad that you enjoyed the book. Having worked with different mentally challenged adults, I'm interested in how she felt working with the autistic population. Also, it's interesting how the two countries differ, but still are similar as far as family, friends, and love. I'm curious to know if there is a reason for her grandma to treat her mom and aunt in the way she does. I've added it to my list of books to read.

Thank you for this thoughtful review. You've articulated so well what makes "Running Between Trees" such a compelling read. I agree that the characters are incredibly well-developed, particularly Aunty Zubaida and Midowa. I found Midowa's supportiveness of Samira's passion for autism research so heartwarming, and the stories of their relationship were so realistic. I also appreciated your point about Mrs. Dopesi's role in Samira’s story.
