I totally agree with your points about the plot twists, the suspense, and the family dynamics in "A Kind of Hush." I was also captivated by the characters and found myself deeply invested in their lives, especially Matt’s parents, who showed incredible support for their family, despite their own differences. Like you, I appreciated the messages of faith and the family's resilience in the face of tragedy.

You've articulated so well what makes "A Kind of Hush" such a captivating read. I found the story quite moving, and I also found that I was constantly kept guessing, even though some characters seemed obvious in the beginning. I also noticed that Connor’s personal life seems to impact his judgment. It made me think that he should not have been so close with Starla as an investigator in that specific case.

This book seems promising. It offers a series of interesting and tragic events in order to find the culprit of the crime. The plot promises to have many suspects and facts that will make you think there are inconsistencies, but everything seems to be part of the author's plan. It has a great edition and that is very valuable.

JoDee Neathery's "A Kind of Hush" by is a true crime novel that leaves the spellbound until it's last page. It is laden with suspense, love, and heartbreak. It shows the tragic end of a beautiful family at the accident at the cliff. A great story; an excellent review.

Thank you for your great review. I'm glad you enjoyed the book for the most part and it was edited so well. There are a lot of twists and turns in this book and trying to figure out who is telling the truth and who isn't. While I did enjoy reading the sample, it would be hard for me to read a whole book, with that much sadness especially involving children. I hope that many others will enjoy it!

Three years ago, the Mackies lost their son in a tragic accident. Summer Mackie took a leave of absence for over a year from her job at Buffalo General Hospital due to grief. I've been looking for a good crime novel for a while now, and I think this is it. It's sounds full of intriguing, suspense and unexpected surprises. I'm definitely adding this to my TBR list.

Thanks for a detailed review, however, I do feel that you added a lot of spoilers which will now take away the readers surprise and reading experience when certain events happen. Next time try to be more cryptic so that the reader want to find out what's going to happen next.

'A Kind of Hush' is authored by JoDee Neathery. It is a story of a couple, Summer and Matthew (Matt) Mackie, who have a beautiful, loving family with three children: Willa, Griff, and Gabriel. They plan a weekend outing for their family, but unfortunately, it turns out to be a horrible day because they meet with a terrible accident.

The language is quite poetic, and the emotional conditions of the characters are penned beautifully. The plot twists are well embedded in the story.

This seems like an exciting murder mystery. I'm already curious about who the actual killer is just from sampling this book and reading the review. I also like that the story has lots of suspense.
