Shelly seems to have experienced a distressing journey in her marriage to Matthew. I like how she did not allow her life challenges define her. She focused on her career as a lawyer. Shelley is the perfect example of how your childhood and family dynamics can shape your future self. The most likely victim of abuse, bullying, and lynching are those who lacks self confidence and needs constant affirmation from others to go on in life. This usually stems from your upbringing.
The title itself is enough to show that Shelley has come to the realization that what she was seeking in life was not the answer to her questions nor it is the solution to all her problems. But she had to pay a heavy price for that lesson. The book will be helpful to those who might be going through anything similar, or even the young people just starting out on life, as a Check.

Shelley's story is quite emotional and heartbreaking. Whereas love is supposed to make you happy, comfortable and everything other thing that comes with it, but when it's the other way round, one begins to feel like love isn't always the answer.

This book by Shelly brings out the emotional bit in you while you read....even I have read the sample I feel a sense of emotion towards the protagonist. But then it goes to show the mistakes we make in the name of love. Still got to finish the book to enjoy this piece more.
