I like the idea of a Bible-themed park; this is something I would likely want to visit if it was real. However, I don't think I would enjoy the humor presented, so I will pass on this one. Thanks for the great review though!

I love the title of this book! The play on the idea of freedom of will and Will being the main character entering his own new freedom is very clever not forgetting that it is God’s design that we choose to believe in Him out of our own freedom of will! I was also touched that you shared how your perspective of religion had been informed in some ways by the views expressed in the book!

Your review is well written and informative, thank you!

Religion is a dicey subject, and anything that deviates from the norm when discussing the subject is often frowned upon. Well done to Ken Clatterbaugh, the author of "The Freedom of Will", for bringing a fresh perspective to how people view religion.

"The Freedom of Will" by Ken Clatterbaugh is the story of Will, a 19-year-old boy who is moving away from home for the first time to take a job in Texas. His mother abandoned him at birth, so he was raised by his uncle and aunt. His uncle and aunt, being devoted followers of God, have a profound effect on him; he often has conversations with God. I think it is a readable and heartwarming book. Your review does justice to the book. Congratulations on being declared 'BOTD'.

I am here wondering how all these experiences will help and not confuse Will who is supposedly coming of age. But I trust the author to do good justice to this story and make it all make sense. Congratulations on BOTD.

Everyone has a path that leads them to spiritual enlightenment. However, I can see that Will's path is fraught with strange occurrences. This story has unique elements that makes it a must-read.

This is a story that reflects the nature of how a relationship with God is to be in accordance with scripture. The book dares to challenge religiousity and rigidity that comes with religion. It shows that one's relationship with can be dynamic.

The author pens a thought-provoking discussion about religion and dissects the formation of belief systems. Through the lead character's journey, the author explores the role of religion in modern American life. Will's story is a heartwarming journey of healing and self-discovery.

I think Will's journey is about finding his true self. His interactions with God is something I'm curious to find out about. Will's exploration shows the readers the American's take on religion and Christianity.

“The Freedom of Will” by Ken Clatterbaugh is a story about a young man named Will whose mother sent him to live at his aunt and uncle’s home so she could start a new life without children with a dentist that did not want children. Aunt Rita and uncle John are siblings who are devout Evangelical siblings. Will has a very private secret that he does not want to share with anyone, he actually talks to God. Readers will enjoy the banter he has with God who is sarcastic, irritable at times but he also gives Will very good advice. Will had a interesting trip to west Texas by saving a three-legged hamster he names Ham, and he falls for a woman that is described as a tornado-riding woman. He is kidnapped by a greedy dominionist, taken by a con artist named Reverend, and he helped stop a bank robbery. Quite a trip at the age of 19. He also meets lesbian nuns who strongly believed in social justice and he befriends likable convicted felons. Even though Will has a great connection with God, he decides to question the role of religion in American life and the long-term impact. I look forward to reading the entire book since the sample was excellent and I really enjoyed Will’s conversations with God.

From the review, what really got me interested are the unique characters that Will encounters. He meets an Atheistic Hamster, lesbian nuns, tornado riding woman and likable convicted felons. His journey seems to me as full of adventure.

I can see this book being turned into a number one comedy television show. Will and these unique variety of characters he'll encounter are going to produce some funny and ungodly moments from those we least expect. I cannot wait to get this book.

Will's journey is full of adventure that I'd love to come along for. The high point for me is Will's God. They seem to be having conversations I'd love to read about that may be life changing. It's indeed a worthy read.

There are so many jobs that Will could have chosen, he decided to choose this of the Bible. I. really think it might be a calling for him, to make changes in the adult of his age. The had challenges and a lot expectations from many people who knew and those your going to meet. Will is already absorbed a huge challenge when he was abandoned by his mother and he raised very well by his Aunt and Uncle. I believe he will also on this one's because he's already strong man since from the past.
