Beautifully written. It reminded me very much of the lessons my late sister in law taught me without even realizing it. She had such a hard childhood, losing her mom, abandoned by her father, lost her brother (my husband to cancer), and fighting cancer for 15 years and passing herself at 32 years old. Although, she had so many reasons to be angry she chose happiness and was a patient and loving human.

The poem is empowering, reminding us of our company to set boundaries, to choose our battles accurately, and to find peace while not having destruction as a catalyst. Hughes encourages self awareness and decisive motion while embracing the fact of lifestyles's uncontrollable factors.

This reminds me of the teachings and actions of Jesus Christ. The poem covers everything that no one/everyone cannot comprehend or understand. Or even change or hopefully in part achieve. Pass it on to others.

This poem is fresh and original and it speaks to its readers about the authenticity that Grace provides us and that we can go beyond the norm and still enjoy and Live Life instead of blindingly conforming and existing aimlessly based on societal restricted and rules.
