Porter is not only a cop following leads, he also deals with the impact his job has on his personal life and the sacrifices he has to make to maintain his integrity.

NIGHTMARE BEFORE MARDI GRAS" by Robert Sterling Hecker is definitely strong plot based narration which is thriller, action packed and, justice bringing story for kids who are exploited. Mainly about real hero who is saving kids from evil hands.

Nightmare Before Mardi Gras is a suspense book about Julio's nightmares. This is one of the best samples that I've read. The first pages in the retreat kept me on the edge. I will surely read this book. Thanks for the review. Congrats on the BOTD!

Nightmare Before Mardi Gras" follows Sergeant Jeremy Porter as he investigates a young boy’s traumatic experience at an overnight camp. Uncovering a deeper conspiracy involving powerful figures, Porter fights to solve the case while balancing personal sacrifices and professional risks. Congrats BOTD.

Thank you for your review. I'm glad that you mainly liked the book. From sampling it, I did like the author's style of writing, but due to the possibility of abuse to the boy, I'll have to think carefully on this one. Perhaps, I'll read it at a later time since we did get to download this book.

Your survey is very much organized and sagacious, offering a fair point of view on Bad dream Before Mardi Gras. I am rooting for Porter that he can bring justice. I wonder if I will perceive the flaws you mentioned in the same way. It will be great to read about how the child abusers were handled. An interesting book to read.

A pretty straightforward crime story with adversaries easy to root against and victims to care about, but it remains to be seen whether the main lead stands out among the rest. Looking forward to finishing this BoTD.

The novel’s ability to balance intense crime investigation with the protagonist’s personal sacrifices adds depth to the story, making Porter a compelling and relatable character. Nice review.

Thank you for your insightful review of "Nightmare Before Mardi Gras," Kristin. I'm glad you found the plot engaging and suspenseful, and that the author handled the heavy topic with care. It's great to hear that Sergeant Porter's determination and the impact on his personal life were well-portrayed. I agree that the main plot and relationships were strong, but I understand your concerns about the undeveloped side plots and editing errors. Your recommendation for adult readers who enjoy crime and suspense novels is spot-on. Your thoughtful feedback will surely help potential readers make an informed decision about this book.

“Nightmare Before Mardi Gras” sounds like a suspenseful thriller that would keep me on the edge of my seat, and your comments on Porter’s determination to help that little boy makes me want to read it. I agree that a good crime thriller should take you on that type of intense journey! It’s also good to know that the author has managed to discuss a difficult topic while not being too graphic, as I can find those types of books difficult to read.

This sounds like a gripping read. The suspense surrounding Sergeant Jeremy Porter’s investigation into Julio’s case kept me engaged throughout. While some plot elements were predictable, It's great to hear the author skillfully introduced unexpected twists that maintained your interest and curiosity until the very end.
