Thank you for your review. I read the sample. This is a book that I plan to read. The author's memoirs of the history of his ancestors and his life in Morocco were well-written and interesting. I enjoyed reading about the nicknames of his schoolmates and the seating arrangements. Congrats on the #BOTD.

The period the writer set his memoir in was definitely troubling. The constant migration supports that.
I won't be having a problem with the names as there won't be many of them(that is usually how memoirs are like). And I'd love to read about the struggles and the determination of the writer-just what I need in these trying times.
Congrats to the author on BOTD nomination. Also, glad the book is being given out free.

When I read the title The Wandering Mathematician,I was thinking that’s about mathematics information, but no! It’s an autobiography book and I’ll definitely want to read it!

This is 'an autobiography that highlights the time before the author's birth, the migration of his family from Jerusalem to France and then to Morocco, and their experiences before he focuses on himself and his journey in the field of Mathematics, which began at The Hebrew University, Jerusalem.'
A memoir that includes Mathematics sounds interesting.

As someone who is not really a fan of autobiographies, this review has piqued my interest enough to want to read the book. The reviews analysis of the books content and storyline raise an interesting perspective that will definitely be considered when reading the book myself. ✨

The Wandering Mathematician by Shmuel Kantorovitz seems to be an interesting and detailed story. I like Savta the most because she is homely and motherly. This is certainly a great read. Congratulations on being the book of the day.

Almost everyone is involved in the such wanderings as Shmuel Kantorovitz and his family in "The Wandering Mathematician". The memoir brings to mind the popular indigenous saying that seeking a means of livelihood is a necessity that throws a child like a stone far away from the comfort of his home.
Also, a mother's impact in a child's growing up years can not be easily brushed aside.
Grab a copy of the memoir and dig in for more.
Congrats on being BOTD. Nice review.

Shmuel Kantorovitz's The Wandering Mathematician is a memoir of a lifetime passion for knowledge, family life, and determination. His odyssey from Jerusalem to Casablanca is a testament to the value of knowledge, culture, and enduring family relationships.

Thank you for your informative review. Although this seems like an inspiring and well-written autobiography, I'm not much into this genre. The importance of education and strong family connection is the highlight of his story. This is still a good recommendation and worth reading.
