Looking for another mystery to try

Post by riceball05 »

I've really gotten into the mystery genre lately. I've read the first two Dexter books, all the books in the Sookie Stackhouse mysteries (that have been released). I just read book 4 in the Ophelia and Abby series, "Witch Hunt." There were no numbers and I thought it was book one until I was half way through reading it and was feeling like I was missing something. I'm looking for something new to read though and looking through shelves at the book store and library really hasn't brought up much.

I am also getting into the mystery/thriller genre but haven't read a whole lot. I've enjoyed these books/authors:

Chelsea Cain (Heartsick)
Tony Hillerman (quick mysteries that have a Native American theme)
Stieg Larsson (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo)

Since you like the Sookie Stackhouse novels, you might like Kelley Armstrong's Women of the Otherworld series. I read the first book called Bitten and really enjoyed it.
