This is very true. Even our hobbies require a level of planning: buying golf clubs, remembering to take them with you when you go to the club, improving the equipment you already have. This goes for all activities. A short- and medium-term plan can help you feel like you have completed and achieved a goal, whether it is small or large, personal or professional.Bettny Andrade wrote: ↑28 Feb 2025, 19:34 I love this type of books because they always provide key points to get a boost on how to implement those tips in daily life. Solid plans will always be of great help to carry out any idea. I like what this book proposes, thank you very much for your review.

What kind of business do you want to have?
Those classic MBA books always help you understand management and leadership, like the famous "The Servant". In my country this book is called "The Monk and the Executive", which I find very funny for a business title.

I think the same as you, Julie Basil! Although I work for myself, I don't intend to open my own business. What's your reason for thinking this wayJulie Basil wrote: ↑22 Feb 2025, 09:37 I am not trying to start my own small business, but it sounds like this book will be very helpful for anyone who is looking to do so. Thanks for another insightful review, Gerry!

For me, businesses today require a lot of online presence and social media, which is extremely exhausting and requires you to be willing to invest time in it.
PS: I loved your photo!

This book is very straightforward and also provides a specific approach to home renovation as a business. This requires a lot of money, because you need to do renovations and also buy land!Martina Sette wrote: ↑25 Feb 2025, 16:53 I think this book is a good starting point. I don't want to open a small business, but why not, I'll take a look at this book. Great job.

Hi, Catarina. Thank you for leaving comments on my book review and welcome to OBC. Your opinion is important to me and those who are considering reading this book. You are correct. Many who dream of owning a business have no idea how difficult it is to set up, find loyal customers, keep the customers pleased, have a good work and life balance, and make enough money to survive while paying employees and suppliers. This book encourages one to plan and do research before embarking on a business venture.Catarina Silva_ wrote: ↑01 Mar 2025, 15:11 It's interesting how this idea that anyone (and nowadays, everyone) can and should open a business. Some of us are simply made to be little ants. I don't believe that everyone who has a "dream" of working for themselves really knows the implications of this dream. It's challenging and a job like any other. The smart one is the one who writes a book about it to sell courses.
But this is a debate about the philosophy of the thing! your review is great, thanks!
