I enjoyed encountering the eccentric animals debuting in this novel! My favorite was a bird. So... here’s a shout-out to the intelligent Akkehian strirla! I enjoyed reading about these giant, self-governing, saddle-wearing birds that understand human language and are ready to carry a person at a moment’s notice! Their personalities are amusing: “A strirl will pay hundreds of dollars for a new saddle decoration and then refuse to take on riders for at least a week just so it can strut about showing off to all the other strirla.” I wish the book had featured a drawing of this animal! (I noticed two spellings for this bird: strirl and strirla. I concluded that strirla is likely the plural of strirl.)

Another animal that stood out was the creepy and venomous swiflefish— a freaky little creature that gave me the heebie-jeebies! Be prepared to recoil as you read about these deceptive little buggers!

Exotic plants, shrubs, and flowers also bedazzle in this story, not to mention trees so massive that one fallen leaf completely covers a lawn—further attesting to author Jude Austin’s boundless imagination!
Great review. I really enjoyed the humour you have infused when talking about the animals. I really enjoyed your description of the strirla and the swiflefish.

I do need to read this series of books as I have had a taste when books in the series have been book of the day, but each review I read just emphasises how great the books are.
Hi Jennifer, I think it is hard to review these books without giving away too many spoilers! I hope you have an opportunity to check out the series! I'm still surprised that I read three sci-fi books (from this series) and greatly enjoyed them! :lol2: I was not a sci-fi reader before. Thank you for reading the review and leaving your thoughts. Have a lovely reading day! :techie-studyingbrown:

It appears the author has once again delivered another thought provoking book. The first book in the series made me think a lot about ethical issues surrounding cloning and was also a nice introduction to Kata. I have added Nowhere to Hide to my to-read shelf and cannot wait to encounter the strange and unique fauna and flora.
Thanks, @Terry Kimble, for this fascinating review.

I love how the story is packed with action, unexpected twists, and fascinating creatures! The strirla sound especially cool, I wish I could see one in real life. Sounds like a wild ride from start to finish

Skillfully written compelling review of "Nowhere to Hide" by Jude Austin. "A strirl will pay hundreds of dollars for a new saddle decoration and then refuse to take on riders for at least a week just so it can strut about showing off to all the other strirla.” I couldn't help but vividly imagined this!

Great review! You gave us enough of the storyline to get readers interested in the book. I'm not into sci-fi/fantasy, but this would be a good book for those who are. Five worlds seem like a lot to handle. We are having trouble handling our one world at the moment.

Wow! This review really makes me want to read the book! The review highlights the author's world-building abilities which I think is so important in science fiction writing. This book seems to be full of action and conflict that keeps the reader very engaged. The details in this review about all the different animals that are featured in the book are so fun. Details like these are some of my favorite parts of reading fiction books and this review has encouraged me to read more than just the sample! Thanks!

Thank you for your review. I sampled the book. This book is for sci-fi readers. In the hospital, Kata is recovering from an injury, and his parents want to see him. He refuses; his relationship with them has issues. Later, Kata and his friend, Alan, go on a mission. Congrats to the author for the #BOTD.

The sample reading on "Nowhere to Hide" left me wanting to read more about the different populations living on planetary worlds. Sci-fi descriptions of experimenting on humans to evolve into animals for scientific understanding of gene mutation for survival tactics or the monetarily purpose of living a habitual lifestyle. This novel gives a thriller suspense to reading more about the societal relationships of individuals in social content and the nature of their worlds in terms of cultural traditions. The shame, hurt, loyalty, and sacrifice assigned to their nationality and personal identification hunting to claim their rightful position in their world in freedom and happiness to live a harmonically safe world. I enjoyed the sample that led me to purchase the rest of the story on Amazon.

This thriller had me on the edge of my seat from start to finish! Callie's whirlwind romance with the handsome Duncan quickly turns into a nightmare when his charming exterior hides a dangerously controlling man.

From the excerpt alone, I could tell that this book would be a fast read. That is a literary feat to be admired considering its length. I'm glad there is inclusion of flora and fauna to aid in worldbuilding, so crucial in sci-fi. Thanks for the content warning because even adults can have problems with violence.

The Five Worlds Series is great, and I enjoyed reading it enormously! If you are into scenarios of how our future may turn out, this is totally your must-read book. Plots will scare you a little, but at the same time intrigue quite a lot, since it's original and lacks many usual clichés of the current theme. Congrats on BOTD!

I must say I was completely awed by the storyline of this sci-fi novel. I thoroughly enjoyed reading about the events that deepened Kate and Alan's relationship. It was an amazing experience going through such a well-structured review with a great sense of humor of this fantastic book.
