"This is not the crash diet of financial plans."

I like the metaphor that is used in the blurb for this book. The author mentions that self-discipline is the key to success in financial security. Because I struggle with self-discipline while dieting, I can relate to this concept.

I agree that this is a helpful metaphor that many people can relate to and understand even if they haven't dieted before.

Yes! I like the fact that it tells you exactly what to expect rather than giving false hopes that you will get rich just because you read the book.

Truthfully, the honesty is admirable and very welcome. I don't want a book that was slapped together overnight and promises me riches just as fast as a long-term guide to work towards my goals seems amazing. The metaphor too is very relatable/understandable!

Very true. What you do with what you have counts a little more than what you can add. Hence self-discipline is core. I hope to pick some tips to check for any missed blind spots, that we as a family unit can apply.

I think self-discipline is essential in every aspect of our lives, but it varies depending on the subject. Someone might find it easy to make good decisions about their weekly grocery purchase while struggling to control themselves doing online shopping. I agree it is the core of making a good decision in whatever aspect it is applied to.

The metaphor in the burb clearly explain not to expect getting rich without putting any efforts. It would contain path to becoming millionaire but you have to follow it.

I like it. I have never dieted before (and I mean it in the "don't eat that" type of diet) but I am very disciplined with my life, so I like that this is not a book about false hopes but about doing the work.

In a world full of get-rich-quick schemes - scams! - seeing someone making a honest claim is refreshing. Financial education is crucial to go on the path of becoming wealthy. In recent years, I've been focusing on investments but it's important to properly handle personal expenses as well, so I'm eager to read this book as soon as it's published.
Ciao :)

I completely agree! Self-discipline plays a huge role in personal growth and achieving any long-term goal. It’s what keeps us going even when motivation fades. Whether it’s building new habits, staying committed to something important, or just making better choices every day, discipline is what really makes the difference.

I appreciate the honesty of the advertising. I am letting you know this is no get-rich-quick scheme and will take work if you are serious about getting your finances in order. Too many books out there make empty promises about things that people are in serious need of. I am looking forward to reading this.

I think this is a promise made by a lot of people trying to sell their courses. I don't know if I believe it. I guess we'll see when the book comes out.

It’s self explanatory, you can crash your way to wealth except you win the lottery haha. There has to be a system and process for there to be growth and sustainability of the growth. So no one is trying to make you a millionaire in a day, certainly not Scott. But he is trying to show you how to be a millionaire doesn’t matter how long it takes, you will get there.

Also avoid all get rich quick ideas because they are all scams and can leave you in a worse place than you were. Focus on building a good foundation and certainly your building will stand the taste of time.
