'Official Review: The Satin Moth' by Jennie Dodd presents vivid details of the plot of historical fiction. It describes the salient features of the author's work. This is the story of Maddie, the daughter of the 10th Lord of Eastlyn, who lived a sheltered life with her overly protective father and Aunt Frances. Her family had been cursed for 300 years, and it was up to Maddie to save them all. Author Jennie Dodd includes a beautiful and relatable poem about grief. It was great to learn that there were detailed instructions on mounting and displaying moths and butterflies in the book!

Each individual in the novel had a distinct function, and the author wrote about an African hamlet, a slave ship, and a fortress. This book's realistic depictions of voodoo, the cruel treatment of slaves, and general human suffering were very unsettling to read. It does, however, view this as a strength rather than a weakness of the author's writing abilities. Good BOTD.

I found this book to be a truly interesting read; it's definitely at the top of my list. It encompasses a family history dating back 300 years, involves a curse, and unfolds amidst suspense and intrigue. It touches on themes of voodoo magic and issues related to the torture of slaves. It features vivid descriptions and an unparalleled plot—an excellent choice. #BOTD

Thank you for another great review. I enjoyed the sample and I am curious to know how everything comes together and how the curse is broken. Though this isn't usually a book I'd choose with the voodoo and ghosts, but from your review and how much you liked it as well as the author's style of writing, I am going to give it a chance and I've added it to my list of books to read.

Thank you for the review. I read the sample. Maddie and her twin cousins are motherless. Their fathers' conversation was overheard agreeing that they will never remarry again and women have to face the same fate. Read this mystery to find out why. Congrats to the author for the #BOTD.

The title of the book catches attention. Maddie's journey through the book to save her family from a 300 year old curse is intruiguing. I am eager to know how and why moths became the centre of attention in plot. Thank you for a wonderful review!

Historical fiction isn't my thing. But the plot really intrigues me. It has a spooky touch. A 13-year-old girl tries to break the 300-year curse on her family. It sounds like an interesting book. Fantastic review!

I wonder if the moth is a metaphor for all the voodoo and suffering that happens in The Satin Moth. I hope that the curse of the Montague family gets ended.

It combines the magical with the painfully real It's not just the story of a girl and a curse It's a story about pain inheritance, courage and redemption And while there are difficult moments it makes you think and feel real things.🍀
