It allows me to escape the real world and all its troubles. My mind can drift away and disengage.

I love reading because it allows me to fuel my imagination. Through reading, I can step into someone else's shoes and experience their lives and stories.

I like reading for many reasons. The main one is probably that reading allows me to vicariously visit places, time periods, and characters that I would not encounter in my real world. Thus it expands my experiences without my needing to leave home. Sometimes reading validates my emotions, and other times it allows me to see a different perspective. Reading adds excitement to my life, and helps me learn knew things.Reading a very inexpensive form of entertainment and continuing education .

I think the reason that I love to read so much is it transforms me to many places. I get to put myself in other shoes and see how others feel and act in various situations. I can compare my life and be like wow, I would not want to have a husband like that, or I am glad that my parents did not treat me like that. In many situations, it has made me grateful for the life that I do have.

I read because I like to put myself in other's shoes.

I also like to learn, so reading can help me with that.

And I really find reading to be fun and relaxing. It is one of the best hobbies ever.

Just like everyone mentioned, reading is the escape from the now and here, the ride to another place and or time, the entrance to other ideas, the observation of art, the learning of history, the feeling of love and romance, mystery of something unexpected, the opportunity to be someone else for a moment, the connection with others, the shared and learned empathy of the human experience, and so much more. These are a few reasons why I love reading.

I like seeing different perspectives. I like getting the chance to escape reality for a bit and delve into a character's life, whether it's realistic or not. I like wondering what I would do if I were the one in these situations. I like getting inspiration for my own writing. Really, I like reading for a ton of reasons. It's always been part of my life so there's a sense of familiarity there as well.

My passion and love for reading comes from the way it allows me to immerse myself in another world. I also have a passion for learning in general, and have found that reading allows me to learn about a variety of topics through both fictional and non-fictional works alike.

I have loved reading for as long as I can remember. Even before I could read or even started school, I remember getting picture books every week from the supermarket when my mother would do the grocery shopping. I would open the book, look at the pictures and literally read out loud my own made up story just from looking at the pictures.
It really broadens my mind, let's me follow other characters through their lives, and I can learn from their journey as well. I love to learn new things, as well as have an escape to new worlds when I need a break.

I love reading because it feels like stepping into another world, one where I can live countless lives, experience emotions deeply, and explore places I’ve never been. When I read, I’m not just a spectator—I’m part of the story. Whether it’s unraveling a mystery, feeling the thrill of adventure, or understanding the complex thoughts of a character, every book offers me a chance to connect with something beyond myself.

It’s a non negotiable for me. Reading is a way to escape my reality, and while my reality is not unpleasant at all, I’m often excited to see what else is out there. What other people have experienced, what other people have to say.
It’s an opportunity to hear a thousand voices from the comfort of my home. Why would I ever pass up on something like that?
Movies are great, but there’s a certain depth to books that movies can only ever dream of, and that’s why I read.

I love reading for so many reasons: 1- the escapism and pretending life does not exist, 2- meeting new “people” and falling love with them and their lives, 3- learning about different places and cultures and groups (even in a fiction setting), 4- entertainment and enjoyment

I love to read because...
1. It became one of my past times when I was a child a side from watching tv and listening to radio dramas.
2. I'm always fascinated on the things people create, how beautiful or ugly the characters were or how captivating or disgusting a landscape was. I've always admired those who can really express and portray what's in their mind.
3. To escape, since worlds in books are way more fascinating and interesting than the reality plus it does make my mind work away my usual thinking like in mystery thriller books.
