I had never read anything by David Baldacci. Well I picked up his book called Stone Cold and I devoured half of it in nothing flat. It's well written, doesn't drag at all, I like the characters in it so far. I have about 100 pages left to go and I will probably finish that while doing laundry. I'll have to see how it goes.

You are so right! The Eve Duncan series was wonderful!! A suggestionSwitchess wrote:The Eve Duncan series by Iris Johansen is really awesome I think. To me, each book has some thriller, mystery and excitement.
if you have not read them yet is the Detective D.D Warren series by
Lisa Gardner! I go through withdrawls waiting for the next one to be released.
I think my favorite was Love You More.

Lisa Gardner has a series called Detective D.D. Warren. TheNovaJay2415 wrote:Hello to you readers,
I have been looking for specific genres lately, specifically on mystery. Do you have any favorite authors that write mystery or even a favorite book that's a mystery? I would love to see your recommendations.
Thanks in advance,
Aubrey Gonzalez

I have really enjoyed Mary Jane Clark's bools. They feature a news anchor by the name of Reagan Reilly. Also, Mindy Starnes Clark's mysteries are good, too.

No, seriously, many excellent mysteries out there but the finest I can recall after thinking is "Demolition Angel" by Robert Crais. This was written a couple years back and it's of the same "Elvis Cole universe" but it's astounding. Tells the story of an LA bomb squad disarmer who was nearly killed in a bomb defusing error, and she's now fighting depression and alcohol and at the same time trying to find a serial bomber. Truly exciting modern thriller, "Demolition Angel" by Robert Crais.
For something slightly off base, I'd highly recommend a brilliant and deeply psychological mystery, “The Boy Who Shoots Crows” by Randall Silvis. This is an artistic treat, brilliantly written is the only way I can describe it.
Finally, for a superb "coming of age" mystery, “What Dies In Summer” by Tom Wright. Highly evocative book about kids growing up in 1950s Dallas. Exquisite.
