This so true. Being about who we are and who we want to be. I have struggled with being kind and respectful to some people and in return to be treated disrespectful. It's hard sometimes but with grace we make it through.

To be yourself without asking others to change.

To encourage, but not push.

To fan the flames of love within your own heart without extinguishing the fire inside your lovers'.

This is like a good ice-breaker exercise to pass around the room as attendees add to to get things started.
It's honest and raw and says a lot about what is going on inside the authors' head as he writes it.

I enjoyed it, got me thinking. I felt it was more a short essay type more than a poem. Made some good statements about life.

This line caught my attention: To be at war in the material world, without losing inner peace. We have to move on purpose but not be consumed by the chaos. It's choosing to act without hate, to defend without vengeance, and to fight with clarity, not anger. It's knowing the storm around you doesn't have to become the storm within you.

Very thought provoking to me. I loved how it was in depth, but very short. Amazing poem. 8/10, in my opinion. I wish it included more short but provoking sentences.

I feel that if the child pictured actually wrote this, he must have consulted with a parent or adult for help. I know children are smart but i doubt he wrote it himself, Its too good.
