Not only is the author a Christian he also seems to be a teacher in Christianity , spreading the word and teaching other fellow Christians the Hebrew letters such as "Alef" which is A, " Mem" which is M and "Tev" which is T. The boom is not only for reading but also has an educational purpose. The problem is not everyone is a Christian, there are other people that a followers of other religions such as Islam, so on and so forth, this means not everyone can read the book and find it interesting. He set his limit of readers by targeting a certain group of people who are followers of the religion, Christianity.

Jeremy Gove’s Let’s Be Honest is a book about honesty. Honesty is truly the center of everything. Religion aside, we all ought to live lives of integrity, and there is no better show of integrity than honesty.

Let’s Be Honest is an enlightening book and it talks about honesty. I want to read it because the author shows how truth matters and helps explain it using the Bible.

Thank you for the nice review. Good to know that this book is well written. Although it seems quite informative, it appears to target Christian readers. I'm not Christian, so I'll skip this one.

I am not a religious person, and therefore it is nearly impossible to tempt me with Christian literature. So the only saving grace of this book is the fact that it sounds more philosophical than theological to me, but I am still not sure that "radical biblical integrity" is the concept I can accept completely.

:techie-studyingbrown: I agree wholeheartedly with your point about the importance of our word and reputation – that's a cornerstone of what it means to live with true integrity.
I understand your disagreement regarding free will. It's a theological point with a long history of debate, and I respect your perspective and the scripture you cited. I think the information of the book was to explore the concept of a voluntary relationship with God as a key aspect of love, which inherently involves choice! :techie-studyingbrown:

Let's Be Honest: Living a life of Radical, Biblical Integrity by Jeremy Gove caught my eye immediately. The title is thought provoking and catchy. I grew up in a Pentecostal church so this book that is written by a Pentecostal Minister pulls me in. His take on the word Honest and how that the only way something can be true is if its true, in the beginning, the middle, and the ending. He uses example of the Hebrew word for honest which is Emet has letters from the first, middle, and ending letters of the alphabet. Using scriptures to back up his thoughtful stories will appeal to Christians. The review was well written and encourages me to add it to my reading list. Great addition to BOTD!

'Official Review: Let's Be Honest' by Jeremy Gove has an informative introduction. It illustrates the premise of nonfiction with examples. Author Jeremy Gove infers that truth must exist at the beginning, in the middle, and at the end. He begins each chapter with an anecdote, defines some terms, and provides scriptural support for his premise. This book is a clarion call to wholehearted discipleship. It is a good read for those ready to put their beliefs into action!

Today's BOTD looks at the deeper meaning of honesty through the lens of the Hebrew word emet, which means truth from beginning to end. Combining scripture and storytelling, the author challenges readers to reflect on their own integrity and live truthfully in every aspect of life. Thank you so much for your helpful review! Keep up the great work! :-)

The book has a valuable message about the importance of integrity in a world where lies deception and double standards are the order of the day.

Thank you for your review. I read the sample. My favorite lesson that I read in the sample was about the word "TRUTH" and how the Hebrew alphabet spells their word for "TRUTH" with the first, middle, and last letters of their alphabet. I have enjoyed the book so far.
