Many could learn from this quote: "Failure is just a perception." You can learn many things from things that do not go according to plan. Thank you for your review.

Thank you for such a well-written and insightful review! After reading your thoughts, I'm even more intrigued to pick up *Raising Eyebrows*. I appreciate how you highlighted both LaMagna’s honesty about his failures and his ability to turn those experiences into stepping stones for success—especially the idea that his scrapbook of failures actually helped him get into Harvard. That’s such a powerful message for anyone who's ever felt discouraged by setbacks.

I’m also really drawn to the mix of humor, personal anecdotes, and practical advice you mentioned. It sounds like LaMagna doesn’t just tell a story—he shares lessons that readers can apply to their own journeys. I don’t mind a bit of grit or realism in a memoir, so the content warnings are helpful but not a deterrent for me.

Thanks again for the great review—I’ll definitely be adding this one to my reading list!

I'm not particularly interested in business or entrepreneurship, though I do recognize the Tweezerman brand, so I found the title hilarious. I also can relate to taking a long time to understand what my sage mother meant with her advice. I'm sure aspiring entrepreneurs can learn a lot from this book. Thank you for your review!

Ofcourse I will be reading this, not just because of the author but also what sets this apart is its balance - it never leans to heavily on punchline or drama. Instead it invites you into the world where humor and introspection coexist naturally. The Title is alluring itself just drawn my attention. I'll surely give it a go.

Thank you for your detailed review. I found it interesting that the author used his failures as learning steps instead of giving up. The part about him getting into Harvard and Columbia by writing honestly about his failures was really inspiring. I also liked that the book includes real advice in bold; it sounds very practical.
