I'm currently reading "The Book Of Doors" by Gareth Brown. So far, I find this fantasy fiction engrossing.

I just finished "Bless Your Heart" by Susann Camus. It is an interesting thriller.

Joanna Perry wrote: 23 Apr 2025, 11:57 I am reading for a second time "Almost Mortal", a book I just reviewed. I like the characters and the variety of cases Sam Young, the protagonist, takes on. I am reading it again because of the secondary story about Sam and his family that the reader doesn't understand until the end of the book. I like this book and want to read anything else the author has published.
I just finished Almost Mortal and it is such a page turner, kept me entirely engaged! I loved the reveal about his family, I feel like it was executed so well.

Currently reading "The Perfume". I had heard so much about it and thought it was time to pick it up. A little disappointed I cannot read it in its original language, but so far I am enjoying it.

"The Time Traveller's Wife" by Audrey Niffenegger. I came across this book in the "have a booked made you cry" forum. It is really good. A third of the way through, and I can already tell that I'll probably be boohooing at the end.

I am currently reading Fred G. Baker’s The Romanov Legacy.
I am really enjoying the portrayal of revolutionary Russia and the character development within the novel. I have always been interested in this era of Russia, and the main character's profession really drew me in.
So far so good.

I'm halfway through 'Plant Dust' by Anna Mark - dystopian novel about bioluminescent plants that can use a human body as fuel. It's interesting - somewhat creepy.

'Racing The Light' - Robert Crais.

Been chugging through Crais' books lately.

Find Elvis Cole and Joe Pike interesting characters and importantly to me, fairly believable.

I am reading Wicked by Gregory Maguire. I like it so far. I was expecting more magic, but I can't say I'm disappointed because it's great, even though it's not what I had in mind. I wasn't initially planning on reading the whole series, but now I think I might.

Taking a break from Robert Cais to read an Ali Loewe book called 'The Private Island.'

Have previously read 'The Running Club' and 'The School Run' by Lowe and they were both very good, in particular the former.
