Looking for good Crime, Thriller and Murder books

Post by Nwamaka Chukwu »

I'm looking for good crime, thriller and murder books and authors. I like book with good suspense that keeps me on my toe and it should not be easily predictable. If I can get books that have the same style with "Steve Cavanagh" books, especially "Thirteen" and "Twisted", I'll really appreciate it.

"The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" by Stieg Larsson is all about the murder mystic and revealing of dark facts.
"Gone Girl" by Gillian Flynn is dark, twisted with unreliable psychological depth, it shares same manipulation and suspense factor as "Twisted".
These are the must reads that'll surely keep you on your toe!

I recommend Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child's books. With such thrillers such as "Relic," "Cabinet of Curiosities and "Still Life with Crows," you will not go wrong and regret reading them. I also suggest reading Michael Connelly (" The Lincoln Lawyer," "The Poet," "The Black Echo," and David Baldacci ("The Innocent," "The Camel Club," "Absolute Power"). They are quintessential suspense writers.

Anything by Jeffery Deaver will keep you guessing until the last page! The Bone Collectir is the first book in great series by him.

I really enjoy Ruth Ware's books. She reminds me of Agatha Christie. Her novel, One by One, is great place to start with her works. It's about a group of people snowed into a ski chalet when a murder occurs. Now, they're trying to determine who among them might be the murderer with no access to outside help due to the blizzard.
