The Futility of Vengeance sounds interesting because it mixes mystery, time travel, and dreams. I really want to read it to find out if Gary proves his innocence.

"The Futility of Vengeance" by Adam Guest excellently portrays the character's emotions that the readers can feel them through the pages of the book. Congratulations on BOTD.

What is it like to be seen as guilty by everyone when you're actually innocent?
The author immerses us in a tormented world where two realities collide and claim victims. What will the final verdict be? Well done!

"The Futility of Vengeance" by Adam Guest is the sequel to Worldlines. In this edition you follow Gary after he is wrongly put in prison for killing Michelle, the mother of his love Sinead. This Sci/Fi thriller has a little of everything. It has a possession by a doppelganger that travels through time. How will Gary and Sinead get justice if no one believes the truth. It's is sure to be a great read, review, and BOTD.

Adam Guest's "The Futility of Vengeance" plunges readers into Gary Jackson's harrowing post-incarceration life, where, consumed by a thirst for justice for a murder he didn't commit, he desperately attempts to weaponize lucid dreaming against his doppelganger from another timeline, all while navigating the brutal realities of prison life.

Thank you for your enthusiastic review. The multiverse is a fascinating concept. But I'm still confused. So Gary, in this timeline, tries to take his vengeance on the actual killer through lucid dreams. And the actual killer is Gary from another timeline. Who possesses Gary from this timeline? If there is a multiverse, how did he find the one that possessed him? How does he prove it in court? Is that possible?

The premise of the book seems complicated to me with the main character Gary, jumping through differrnt time lines is complex to follow. I might pass on the book for this reason. Thank you for a wonderful review!

I totally agree, "The Futility of Vengeance" is a gripping sequel that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Adam Guest does an amazing job of exploring vengeance and the human mind through the 'Many Worlds' theory, and the consistency of character relationships across timelines is impressively handled.

This story is based on the sequel to the first book. In that case, we're going to see the consequences of Michelle's murder by a version of Gary from another time. The focus of this book is on the innocent and trying to find who really carried out the murder through a lucid dream. This book is quite interesting because it tests concentration, due to the time jumps, the justification of repetitive actions in one timeline or another, and attempts to alter reality in the dimension of the real killer.

Something I love about this book is how the story traverses multiple timelines; I just love that the same character is living multiple different lives at the same time.

I just finished Chapter One of this book, courtesy of the author, and I have to say, I am very intrigued and convinced I need this book in my life. I have briefly glanced at some of the reviews and am quite excited to see this is a book in a series. I now must order this series because I want to find out if Gary actually does commit the murder of Michelle in a parallel universe through a dream state. I want to know if Sinead wants to continue their relationship. All of these questions I have just from reading the first chapter. :) I shall return soon to give a more in depth review. Off I go to multiverses

The book appears to be thought-provoking, layered, and emotionally resonant. The central theme of The Futility of Vengeance by Adam Guest revolves around the destructive nature of revenge and the complexities of justice across multiple realities. Through the protagonist Gary Jackson's experiences in various worldlines, the novel explores how the pursuit of vengeance can lead to unintended consequences and moral ambiguity as Gary navigates different versions of his life—ranging from seeking retribution to attempting redemption—the narrative delves into the psychological toll of obsession and the elusive nature of true justice. This theme is intricately tied to the novel's exploration of alternate realities, highlighting how different choices and circumstances can lead to vastly different outcomes, yet often with similarly unresolved tensions. The story suggests that vengeance may not provide the closure one seeks, and that the complexities of human emotion and morality transcend even the boundaries of parallel worlds.

No matter how much Gary claims it wasn't him and that there's another ME in another timeline, people don't believe him this reflects the fact that we live in a world where proof speaks louder than words.🫨

I'm excited to read the Futility of Vengeance to find out what happens to Gary after the events of the first book. I'm also curious about how Gary's jail sentence will be and whether he'll be able to prove that he didn't kill Michelle. Hopefully, Gary will resolve everything and serve justice to the other version of himself that committed the crime.
