Insofar as the word 'should' even has meaning, then we must say that the past is exactly as it should be, everything that happened should have happened, and everything that should happen will happen

The protagonists had to deal with their past and their problems in various ways. There's a lot of introspection as they sort of change their normal perspective and look at themselves in a different way. Each character creates their own experience and has their own reactions to it, which can include positive and negative reactions. They want to be happy, but is a virtual trip enough to find the key to happiness? It makes them - and us readers - think for sure!

Readers learn about the developments in the field of science and technology while reading the book. The author's work is set in the near future, where simulations can place us into a character's body in any setting. Participating in simulations helps us face the major problems in our lives, such as marriage issues and addiction. The scenario of having a simulation that can take us anywhere is not improbable. The government relies on the use of simulations for people's progress.

Finding closure and coming to terms with the past. The characters did a lot of introspection and definitely learned some things about themselves. Their experiences helped them figure out who they are and what they wanted.
