Excellent review, Gerry. Having had a TIA, a precursor to stroke in Feburary of this year, the subject matter interested me on a personal level and I will read the book. The fact that it has some elements of humour and other facets of Liv's life makes it sound inviting.

Hi, Mary. I hope all is well with you. Thank you for leaving a reply to this book review and sharing your personal experience with having a TIA stroke. Receiving your feedback contributes to the feeling that I belong to a book club where people exchange their thoughts about books they have read. I am fortunate to have read Liv Rosin’s book. Because of her story, I am putting more trust in my cardiologist—I am at risk of having a stroke. I will be happy to read and reply to your reviews. Let me know when your next review is published. Have a nice day.

Great review, Gerry! I think it's important to know something more about these issues. Maybe I'll read it.

Memoir is a very touching genre. This book seems sensitive and has a message. Realizing the struggle of others helps us to value our own health. We also become more sensitive to helping others.

It's clear that Rosin's firsthand account of her stroke and her arduous journey to recovery resonated deeply with you. Your appreciation for her candidness in sharing details about managing pain, anxiety, grief, suicidal thoughts, and fear of addiction to painkillers really highlights the raw honesty of the book.

Yes, this story has made me more trusting of the opinion of my doctors. I do not want to end up in the same situation as Rosin if I can prevent it.

This is not my usual book, but your narrative review has piqued my interest. There seems to be more to her than having a stroke. It's about the life she lived and how she managed physically, emotionally, spiritually, and financially. Thanks to your review, I will add this to my list.
