This sounds like a resilient yet fun story to dive into. I like there are both good and bad adventures discussed. Also the review suggested there are many funny moments to lighten the mood. A compelling read indeed.

"That’s What Ed Said" sounds like a truly engaging and emotional read. I’m really interested in the way Leslie shares his life so openly—especially how he balances humor, adventure, and deep reflection. It definitely sounds like something I’d enjoy reading. Congrats BOTD!

Nice review! This book has certainly piqued my interest. The author's writing is easy and flows well. It doesn't seem like the type of book where you have to look up every other word to see what it means. I will be putting this book on my reading list.

U. A. Dumas’s That’s what Ed said is a darkly humorous and unflinchingly honest fictional memoir tracing the tumultuous life of Leslie "Ed" Dumas, from his troubled childhood to his unlikely success as a teacher and principal.

Well done. Your review is very insightful. Ed's story is relatable to our society even though it's fictional. Children pass through abuse day to day like young Ed, and this book is raising more awareness on this societal issue.

The sample reads as a humorous reflection of a life well lived. Leslie "Ed" Dumas had many adventures. Adventures that nearly got him killed on more than one occasion. It appears to be a fascinating read about a time in history where life was free of technology.

I love reading books with titles like "That's what Ed said" by U A Dumas. Now I am curious as to what ED said and why it was so important to be put in a book.

My mother was a teacher as well, and I always enjoyed her stories. It is like dedicating life to the educational system grants a talent in storytelling. Then again, to keep the full attention of dozens of pupils, the teacher must be especially interesting. I would like to read Leslie's experiences for comparison. Congrats with BOTD!
