Well, apart from the simulation technology, it was all very familiar. It was only that technology that felt too advanced to be generally available at the beginning of the next decade.

The core concept was imaginative but grounded in current conversations around AI and mental health. The world-building leaned heavily on familiar environments, like suburban neighborhoods and recognizable social dynamics, which made simulation technology feel more accessible.

Not all futuristic books have that "real-life feeling" when you are reading. They need to have situations that could potentially happen in real life. 'Anticipation Day: What Would You Do?' has that feeling that the simulations could actually occur.
