Turn of the Century LGBTQ

Post by 0162375 »

I'm looking for a book from broadly around 1850-1950 written with LGBTQ lead characters. I generally prefer short books, but I'm open to anything. The only book like this I've read so far has been "Confusion" by Stefan Zweig, and I loved it and wanted to read more books like it. A little steaminess is fine, but please nothing too sexual, I'll be reading this at school. Anyway, thanks in advance!

The Heart's Invisible Furies by John Boyne, Giovanni's Room by James Baldwin, and Maurice by EM Forster are all good choices.
