Mushrooms are a versatile ingredient in my kitchen. From adding depth to sauces to starring in a savory mushroom risotto, their earthy flavor enhances various dishes.

I love mushrooms, but only if they are cooked right! Sometimes they are made slimy and the texture becomes weird.

When I was young, I used to only eat button mushrooms sliced in a lettuce salad, and on pizza. I liked the earthy taste and the wholesome feeling I had after eating them. Later, I married into an Italian family. My father in law would go into the forest to forage mushrooms; all colors: brown, black, white ,grey. He had a special way to test them to make sure that none were poisonous. I am not sure what his method was , so I won't describe what I know here. However, he would cook them or pickle them. They were delicious, and I never got sick (poisoned). Dried mushrooms are delicious as well. After cooking them, I save the broth to make soups and stir-fries. I also like shitake and oyster mushrooms. You can buy mushroom substrate in boxes, cut open the box, spray them with water daily, and two weeks later, voila! You have enough mushrooms to cook a meal. I agree, mushroom risotto is delicious! Have a great day. :tiphat:

I like mushrooms occasionally, but only if they are cooked. Usually, I add them to recipes that have a lot of vegetables in them. Sometimes their flavor just adds the right touch to a recipe.

I am allergic to mushrooms. I have experienced allergic reactions after accidentally consuming them multiple times. I dislike mushrooms.

Depending on how they’re cooked, they could be delicious. I really love baked stuffed mushrooms or I love franchise with mushrooms.

They tasted horrible. I say this as a person who is mildly allergic. I am not a fan and never have been. I would rate them 2/10.

Mushrooms are good, cooked, grilled, fried, roasted, or cooked with other vegetables. I like mushrooms, either fresh or dried.

Personally, I'm nauseated at the smell only.
I admit that the smell of mushrooms is not the best quality they have, but once you have passed that cooking moment they are quite good risotto option.

I have always loved mushrooms! I feel they add a lot to a dish. I've especially enjoyed them on burgers and in pastas.

I sauté mushrooms regularly with garlic and teriyaki sauce. They are a nutrient rich food loaded with vitamins, minerals and fiber. Some of the health benefits of eating mushrooms include reducing the risk of cancer, promoting brain health and supporting a healthy immune system.

I personally love mushrooms, but it really just depends on how they're prepared. I love mushrooms sauteed in butter. I usually add them to a cream cheese bagel, or as a side to eggs, or inside an omelet with bacon. I also love to roast them in the oven with olive oil and seasonings. They actually come out super juicy, but not at all mushy or slimy. Since most people don't use the stem, you can harvest and dehydrate it. Just blend it into a powder to use for soups and sauces. The only time I've experienced the smell of mushrooms making me nauseous is with mushroom confit. Which is mushrooms submerged in oil or fat and slow cooked (usually baked covered). It adds great flavor to the mushrooms and you can add herbs and aromatics while it cooks. I personally think it just makes them slimy and smells terrible. I've even had wild mushroom tamales; which were absolutely delicious.

I like them! Which is good because I'm vegetarian and they're a good source of protein!
