Congrats on BOTD.
Charles W. Page, MD, Freddy Finds a Friend Another adorable book for kids with beautiful pictures. The work is suitable for younger kids because of its catchy rhythms, fairly brief rhymes, and difficult prose for beginning readers.

Charles has definitely written a masterpiece that will not only entertain children but also inspire them to think critically and treat others with kindness and empathy. I read the free sample on Amazon and enjoyed every bit. While one empathizes with Freddy, there is also so much that makes him relatable. For instance, don't we all need that one friend who will be kind and faithful to the end? Many thanks for the brilliant review, @Rashad Deniro Price.

I know Freddy is meant to represent the disabled, but it's hard for me to feel bad for flies, which are usually associated with dirty or rotten food. If Freddy were another animal, I would sympathise with Freddy more. Good BotD though.

Great review. It will be a great read that will guide children to not treat each other indifferently just because a person is different from them.

I also found Freddy’s journey so moving and relatable, especially how it highlights the emotional toll of being different and the deep human need for kindness and belonging. This book really does a beautiful job of blending poetic craft with powerful life lessons. A must-read for every family!

I adore limericks and children’s literary pieces centered on real world circumstances and emphasizing values essential in life. I hope that this book reaches, educates and establishes more young minds into better individuals for the generation to come. It’s hope illuminating that despite the wicked, harsh realities of this world, there’s still bound to be a silver lining. And that it can start with you and me. Certainly worth reading and spreading!

Freddy's experience in the hands of other flies reflect what kids living with disabilities go through in different settings: home, school, social gathering or wherever. The emotional torture is real. I hope this story helps kids living with disabilities to find closure in friendship and touch bullies to be more empathetic to other people's suffering. It is great to learn the story is written in limerick.

I really enjoyed the sample of the story that I was able to read. The artwork was delightful and great for kids . Being a poet myself, I enjoyed the rhyming, and the poetic means that the the author used.
