The book must be offering a mixed refreshing feel of history, religion and authors perspective as documented through the book about the Shroud and the history of Jesus. I will be glad to get hold of this book and read it.

I’m really fascinated by "The Only Witness". I love exploring topics about faith, and the idea of following the Shroud of Turin’s journey through history sounds fascinating. I’d love to read it and discover both the religious and scientific perspectives. Congrats BOTD!

It is interesting to learn the significance of the shroud. I did not know such a thing existed. I am a Christian and don't think it is that important to my faith either way. But good for the author and their dedication on the subject.

Great review as well!!

'Official Review: The Only Witness: A History of the Shroud of Turin' by Guy R. Powell has a vivid introduction. The book sheds light on the possibility that the shroud is our most valuable relic, created by God, which proves that Jesus died and was resurrected. It contains elements of intrigue and suspense. Author Guy R. Powell focuses on Jesus' death, resurrection, and holy relics, such as the burial cloth. The maps and illustrations are clear and easy to understand. It was great to learn that the narrative contains many life lessons!

The story around the burial cloth is intriguing, and this book gives a lot to think about. Both sides of believers and skeptics are represented. Fiction set in a historical background has this little extra for me.

I have learned some things from this review, like the origin of "God bless you." The Shroud and the controversies surrounding it sound interesting to me. I look forward to reading this book. But then I hope the gory scenes are not too disturbing.

I really appreciate how clearly the reviewer described the book’s themes and audiences, it made it easy to understand what to expect and who might enjoy it most.

I respect the effort and depth the author put into the book. The historical and religious elements seem thoughtfully researched and well presented. But, it’s not quite the right fit for me personally. Congrats on BOTD.

The Only Witness: A History of the Shroud Of Turin by Guy R. Powell is a historical-fiction story about the Shroud of Turin, covering the periods of AD 33 through AD 2020. Thanks for your wonderful review Bertha. This is definitely the book for me because I am Catholic and very interested in the Shroud of Turin. This book is Christian-informative as well as told in a story-like fashion which will keep a non-Christian interested in knowing more about the Shroud. I am looking forward to reading this book next. Congratulations to the author for BOTD.

This book was truly a fascinating journey through history, faith, and mystery. I was captivated by the way Guy Powell intertwined historical facts with vivid storytelling. The narrative brought the Shroud’s journey to life in a way that made it feel both real and spiritually moving. Whether you believe in its authenticity or not, The Only Witness challenges you to think deeper. A brilliant blend of history and imagination, I couldn’t put it down!

As a Christian, this is a book that I should surely read in the very near future. Although this is a historical-fiction story, I can easily relate to so many stages of history and the mention of well-known names.

It shows that people can have different beliefs. some firmly believe in the Shroud of Turin as a proof of Jesus resurrection while others think it is a fake.🙃🍀

I really appreciate your attention to detail without spoiling the fictional entertainment of this story.
I have a much clearer understanding of exactly how this does have true fact but is still a true historical fiction as the author took liberties to weave a story together.
