Inspired by the true life story of four friends, Marlene Zaedyan's "Zooming with the past" shares how the author's friendship with each of her friends bloomed, even in the worst of situations. It's a story with lessons on the gift of friendship and how being resilient through crisis can make a difference.

The reviewer did a lovely job conveying the emotional core of the book and made its themes of support and survival come through clearly.
The book sounds like a heartfelt and deeply human story that beautifully honors the bonds of friendship and the strength found in shared struggles. The fact that it based on real friendships makes it even more touching. Congrats on BOTD.

What a heartfelt and thoughtful review. It beautifully captures how Zooming with the Past isn't just a memoir-it's a testament to the endurance of friendship and the quiet strength of women who choose to survive, rebuild, and reconnect. Your reflections made each story resonate even more deeply.

I really appreciated how the reviewer highlighted the emotional depth and resilience in each of the four women's stories. The fact that the book is inspired by real events makes their journeys feel even more personal and powerful. I found Camille’s role especially touching—being the emotional anchor for everyone else, even while silently enduring her own heartbreak. It's not easy to write about four separate life stories without confusing the reader, but the review assures me that the author succeeded in weaving them together clearly and meaningfully. I'm now curious to read it myself and explore how these friendships evolved and survived such intense trials.

What a profoundly moving review. Zooming with the Past is not just a set of life stories. It is a quiet celebration of the strength women find in each other when life falls apart. I was deeply touched by how the author honored her friends with such care, and how she gently made herself part of every chapter, a steady, healing presence.

Camille’s constant support and Miriam’s courageous reclaiming of her voice truly lingered with me. These stories remind us that survival is not only about pushing through, it is about holding onto love, friendship, and self-worth when the world feels shattered.

This book reshapes how we see legacy and loyalty. Thank you, OnlineBookClub, for bringing it to the spotlight so thoughtfully.
