Featured Topic: How to Get Your Book Published
Interesting idea. What I've seen most published authors do is include the homepage of their website, and those usually have contact info of some kind, so I suppose what you're suggesting is just skipping a middle step. Still, you might consider getting a site if you're going to be published, it can only help with publicity and things of that nature. But if you do stick with just the email, I strongly suggest you get an email account solely for that purpose. I've heard nothing but horror stories from anyone who became well-known and left their phone number, home address, etc. publicly available. I'm willing to bet you'll be amazed at the kind of mail you'll get.
I'd say go for it! I can't remember which book I read a few years ago, but it was a fictional book, and one of the characters had a "fictional" email, and I sent a message to it, and actually got a response. So, if people send emails to fictional email addresses, I'm positive they'll send them to authors who list their email address in the book!
i think it's a good idea cause readers can communicate with him in a direct way and give their impressions of the writer book
of course it should be an exclusive email only for that so it could be more easy for the author to reply
it`s a good idea but you have to make sure that your email address will be active for a long time (even 20 years) so the readers will have the chance to contact you and will not get an error message.
