Hello, Only a quick post to attempt to obtain some experience feedback, I’m considering having cosmetic surgery a tummy tuck, or what’s referred to medically as a abdominoplasty to be precise, been thinking about this for a while now, and the only thing putting me off is the recovery period, I’m very active and also self employed so time off is a concern. When asking about the the consultant was quite unspecific and rather vague regarding the recovery period, said quite individual, I need some time frames as I cannot be off work indefinitely. Feedback would be appreciated.

Just follow the do's and don'ts so that you can recover well.

It is up to you if you still want to under go cosmetic surgery. You have to take the risk in doing this thing. If you think you can follow the do's and dont's of surgery then go on. Follow what you're heart and mind says.

Cosmetic surgery is usually performed to correct a physical abnormality or to enhance an otherwise normal physical feature and thus improve appearance.
I agree to them,if you can follow the advice of your doctor then go but if not it's better not to take risks.

Cosmetic surgery means to have a surgical procedure for the purpose of improving your appearance. It is known as elective surgery, meaning that the patient chooses to have it although it is not essential.
Cosmetic surgery is different from plastic surgery, which is surgery to reconstruct or improve the appearance after injury or illness....

I think it'd be worth it. I would just ask around. You could start watching these documentaries.. all the "10 years younger" etc programs.. they might have info on recovery time. Just remember that there can be complications and they are very serious procedures!

It really depends on the person. A friend of mine had it done and she was up and going in a couple of weeks. While another person that I have met recently said she took almost 3 months to recover.

I would plan on at least a month, if you think you can handle it, go for it. If now wait until you may be able to.

Recovery period depends on the individual. It also depends on what kind of cosmetic procedure. I have a friend who had a tummy tuck and she recovered about a month and a half.

Just listen and follow the instructions of your surgeon and you'll definitely achieve good results and maybe fast recovery time. Good luck!

Nothing personal, but...

If you hate the way your tummy looks, why don't you take some time in the evenings and exercise?
People are getting so lazy and career obsessed, they all want to improve their looks with no work whatsoever. Ding dong - If you don't push a shopping cart down the road, it's just gonna stand there. You need to put in work.

Once again, nothing personal, but my advice is - less work and more exercise. People should learn to enjoy just a bit less comfort.

Well, plastic surgery is good, but can you do without it? Have you tried any other methods? It's not natural to interfere the body without so much necessity.
